what is barbershop etiquette?

Its simply a way to govern yourself with professional groomers. Whether you are in or out of the chair. Most of what you will read are common courtesy things that you already do!

• showing up early to an appointment is always a kind gesture. It helps us, your barber, stay on time with all appointments for the day, it will also help you, the client to avoid any unwanted late fees, or run the risk of having to reschedule. It’s a great feeling to get you in the chair before your appointment time.
• Lets be honest, cell phones get in the way and cell phones cause you to drop your head more often than intended. During your service, it is encouraged to limit your phone activity. Relax and enjoy the music and the vibe. Take it in!
• its  important to  understand no  show,  and  cancellation policy.  Great  barbers  are  busy  barbers,  so  we  get  paid  for  services rendered,  but  also  time  spent,  or  even  lost  in  some  cases.  If  you  no  show,  cancel  within  24hours  or  are  late  to  your  appointment ,  the  common  theme  in  that  list  is  LOST  TIME,  which  is  made  up  through  compensation.  Make  sure  if  you  forget  your  appointment,  have  to  cancel  within  24hours  or  are  late  by  10  min  or  more,  that  you  govern  yourself  as  a  professional  client  and  pay  for  the  time  lost  according  to  the  terms  and  conditions .
• its  a  courtesy  to  come  to  your  appointment  with  your  hair  maintained  I.e.  picked  out,  free  of  products, heavy  smoke  smells etc.  its  part  of  hygiene to  have  your  hair  maintained in  between  haircuts.  If  you  have  any  questions  or  hair  tips  that  we  can  provide,  we  are  glad  to  help!  lets  take  care  of  your  hair  together!  Oh  and  lets  not  forget,  if  you  suffer  from  dry  scalp  or  dandruff,  we  have  a  "scalp  detox"  services .
